Meet the Anderson family!

I am new to photography, so, getting to shoot a family of seven with 5 kids 6 and under, definitely put me to the test! Here are just a few from our time together...

Amazing, the handiwork of God, to put eyes so beautifully deep brown...

....to eyes so beautifully bright blue, in the same family!

This photo makes me laugh b/c it so perfectly captures the essence of what the Anderson household holds...Capri Suns and apples became a must-have through our time together :)

Lastly, no one hugs my husband, quite like his buddy, Dave.

The Konoske Family

The Konoske's are an adorable family and are just going to get more adorable when #3 arrives in November. The five of us trekked our church campus (Church of the Open Door) in 105 degree heat. We probably covered 2 miles of hilly ground and we were praising God for the little red wagon that served more as transportation, than for photo ops!! Elliot and Libby were champs and endured 2 hours of my camera lens. Here are a few fun pictures from our evening together.

An Assistant: Erin & Michael

Last night I had a blast getting to assist a good family friend and photographer Rod Foster. Rod once youth pastored with my hubby and Rod's wife is the fabulous realtor who helped us buy our home. I was anxious to get out of the "abode in progress" and to pick up a camera again, instead of a piece of sheet rock.

I learned a ton, watched how Rod laid out & planned the shoot, what spots he picked to shoot Erin & Michael in and why, and how to guide a couple through a photo shoot. I also got to take quite a few pictures and here is a snipit of a few from the beach portion of the shoot:

My First Official Family

My sweet friend Tiffany, wanted to take some pictures of her boys for Fathers Day!
They were a such a blast and made their dad proud.

Summer is almost here

Time to break out those dancing shoes...

Summer break starts in 2 days and my 1st grader couldn't be more ready!!

Okay, so these aren't the Back Street Boys, but if they were-
one of these photos could be their album cover.

These are 5 of my husband's footballs players who agreed to pose in a barren orchard in the middle of nowhere on the way back from a football camp. It was odd not to be taking pictures of my kids, but since 2 of the 3 were asleep in the car, I asked these guys to help me out. Looking through a lens at 5 football players (not a family photo shoot or engagement pictures, portraits, or wedding photos) was going to be hard to navigate. When they all stood there together, all that came to my mind was that they kinda looked like a boy band...when else do 5 young men stand together in a field?? So, there you have it! I told them to pose as if they were in a boy band and these photos are what I came out with. It was fun and funny for my husband to watch.

The song, I Want It That Way, has been stuck in my head ever since!

Beach Bums

This past weekend we went to the beach. The sun barely peeked out at us.
Titus ate sand, Emma body surfed and
Addie (my cautious little one) had a great time jumping off the sand cliffs.

Cinco De Mayo

For Cinco de Mayo, Emma was given a huge colorful barrette to dance to La Culebra in...and she has worn it almost every day since. Here are a few head shots of her sporting the floral number.

Backyard BBQ

My kiddos have been the main target of my camera lens, that is, until Sunday afternoon.
My kids were jumpin' for joy and shouting "Hallelujah, Praise the Lord," when they saw their mom taking pictures of a little somebody else...as for my little people-they can save their "cheeses" for another day (coming sooner for them than later). Today I picked up my camera and snapped a few of a friend's little girl.
We were having a little backyard bbq/photo session...really a bbq, but I couldn't help but try to see if I could take pictures of someone- without my same last name.
