Celia: maternity

Meet Celia and her boys.
She is due with a new baby boy towards the end of January.
I was beyond thrilled when she asked me to photograph her pregnancy.  I first met Celia when she was 16 years old, wearing khakis and a polo.  She was a student at Maranatha High School. I was her psychology teacher.  I met her husband, David, when he was around the same age.  He too, was wearing khaki's and a polo.  They were high school sweethearts.  I have loved watching them turn into 2 amazing young adults.  As I went through their photos, seeing them side by side was especially moving...miraculous, joyous, and just as it should be-just how God has brought it to be.
They are a family full of smiles, energy, and togetherness.  Celia would be hanging with me picking out more fabulous earrings to wear for the next set of photos (she, like me, has a thing for big, fun earrings) and there in the background were her two boys running circles around the basketball court, David swinging their little guy way up in the air.  Her boys are on the go! It was refreshing, youthful,  and praiseworthy. What absolute fun this 2nd baby boy is being born into...better get his baby Nike's warmed up.

Celia you are gorgeous inside and out.  You beam.
Thank you again Celia & David for playing & getting your photos taken at the same time.  You are a great together.  You make a great team.  Your kiddos are blessed to be in your home and under your care.  Maybe one day they will wear khaki's and polos too!
God's best over the delivery of your precious baby boy.
Love, Lindsay

Catching Up: several families I got to enjoy before Christmas!

I am behind on blogging a few mini-family sessions from Christmas. These were quicker shoots than normal and mainly for Christmas card use, so I didn't get my normal hang out time with these dear faces, but I love, love, love them none the less!
Oswandel Boys
Check out these two handsome little guys.  Brothers & buddies....it doesn't get better than that.  These two were so full of energy, smiles, and love for each other.  It was a blast to be with Boy Power!  Ryan has this sweet little smile and Samuel has this beaming happy smile with eyelashes that go on for days.  Enjoy their smiles!
Thank you boys for letting me chase you with my camera...I wish I was a transformer so I could have wheels and been faster :)

CZARNOTA FAMILY
I had the pure pleasure of getting together with the Czarnota family. They are the first official family I ever photographed.

I love their playfulness and kindness oozes from them.  They are good, good people.  I love knowing good people.  This was a first for Clint, since the first Czarnota family shoot was of just the boys & Tiffany as a gift for Father's day and the second shoot was Tiffany's extended family.  He did great!  The boys were phenomenal as always.  Easy, happy, golden.  My heart melts when I see their eyes flashing back at me throw my lens.  Tiffany may be one of the most shy mommas I have gotten to photograph, but her smiley eyes and love for her family cannot be hidden.  I love capturing her.  Enjoy this dear family!

For old times sake...

MARTINEZ FAMILY
I love getting together with this family.  It is fun to watch Brenna and Aaron grow up.  Wendy is gorgeous inside and out. I love photographing them because #1 I don't have to wear my running shoes (which is fun for a change) and #2 It is fun to hear what is going on in their lives.  Her kids are a little bit older than mine, and I love to hear what subjects they are liking in school, what book Brenna is reading, and I love to watch Aaron climb trees and catch ladybugs.  Thank you Wendy for the opportunity to photography your family :)

I love this last one and think moms & daughters are simply special.

Big Sisters...

This is one thing, among many, that big sisters are good at....

...lending their feet.

God knew what he was doing when he gave me Emma & Addie first.  He knew 3 more were coming after them & they would need the best, most loving, helpful big sisters in the world.  I love that everyday after school Addie will get Gwen out of the car in exchange for me carrying her backpack.  I love that Emma will sit in between the twins at dinner time & she doesn't get mad when they both are pulling at her dinner plate at the same time.  I love that Addie will do puzzles with Titus and Emma will read to him.  I love the outfits they pick out for the twins: always a summer dress for Gwen (even when its freezing) and something they remember Titus wearing for Nehemiah.
They fight and whine like all other kids, but more times than not, they will lend their "feet." Bestill my heart.  If I could freeze my little ones them in time for just a little bit, I would :)

Happy New Year

We are excited for 2011...except for Emma & I, we have a hard time with change. Tonight before bed, Emma lost her 5th tooth. She always cries when she loses a tooth & not because it hurts, but because she is different after it is gone...just a little bit older.  I cry too, because I love her tenderness & apprehension for change. It is hard to let go of what you know. After writing a long letter to the tooth fairy we tucked her into her bed-we prayed, sang to her and kissed her goodnight.  She had the hardest time leaving 2010 behind. I will too. I have always found New Years Eve far harder to endure than my birthday & getting older. I wish the year never had to change.  Every year is so special & for so many ways & reasons.  It's hard to imagine having another year quite as wonderful as the one we just lived. However, like losing a tooth, the time keeps changing and Emma & I will learn again that change is inevitable. Tomorrow we will write about all the goodies of 2010 & then carefully & with a hint of sorrow & thankfulness mixed together- we will usher in 2011.
Happy New Year!
