Grade School

I love the smiles of a 3rd grader. They are so adorable, with all those teeth coming
in at all different times.
There is nothing like the smiles of my 3rd grader.

Being a Kid

I used to do this all the time as a kid. Trying as an adult is a whole other deal-thankfully I don't have a picture of my landing. I tried cartwheels again recently and praise the Lord, I do not have a picture of that one either. I'll stick to taking pictures of my kids doing kids things.

Wedding Bells: Daniel & Allison

Daniel & Allison are now formerly a Mr & Mrs!  Their wedding day was romantic, special, & fun!  They had personal touches sprinkled throughout their special day and truly made their wedding day their own.
I loved Allison's "something blue," and her bouquet was so natural, simply gorgeous.

The boys held up their pant legs for me to show off their wild side.  I loved Daniel's blue high tops paired with bright orange socks.  A very fun way to pay tribute to his favorite Denver Broncos.

Allison, you are stunning.

I like the groomsmen in black and white.  They pull off the grit of this cement wall with ease.

This was taken before the ceremony and moments before Allison saw Daniel for the first time. I love the sweet anticipation in her hands.  So many delicate moments on such a momentous day.

Daniel & Allison opted for a first look on their wedding day.  A first look, is when couples choose to see each other before the ceremony leaving more time to spend with their guests afterwards.  It was a beautiful moment and absolutely breathtaking to witness.

This cute pose with the bridal party.....

....quickly turned into this!

I love the tender nuances of a groom taking care of his bride.  His hands bring assurance, comfort, and steadiness.  Some of the slightest of touches, speak volumes.  Daniel God choose you, before the beginning of time, to be Allison's groom.  May His hand be over your every memory together, binding you ever closer with each new day.

Congratulations Allison & Daniel!  Thank you for letting me share in your incredible day.  It was sheer joy to watch you two become husband & wife.  You make one awesome bride & groom!

Beach Nights

We have been doing this on Sunday nights since school started.

There is almost nothing more beautiful than playing at the beach
right before the sun goes down.

Maternity: Katie

Katie is so adorable! She is due to have her first baby this fall. We go back to the high school days-she was a student and I was a teacher. I love seeing my old former Minutemen and how God is alive & active in their lives today.

She and her husband just moved to Georgia in the spring and
this cute California girl is already picking up the slightest southern drawl.
I had the greatest time with you Katie, and it was a pleasure spending the afternoon with you. You are absolutely gorgeous!

I can't wait to hear your final name for your precious little boy!!

The Konoske Family (take 3)

I had the special opportunity to photograph my third Konoske brother and his family. Like all the Konoske families (younger brothers Charlie & Joe too), I absolutely loved them. I hadn't met them before the shoot & was actually contacted by Dan's mom to have their pictures taken to update her mantle frames. I figured I would take them to a local park and get all the pictures taken there. Simple family portraits. One problem, a small parade was happening-motorcycles everywhere. Oh dear. 2nd stop, another one of my favorite locations and I was positive there would be no parade. We all unloaded and as I got to know them I realized they were not perfectly park people. They could definitely rock an urban location, a city landscape, the Getty, a funky bright wall, even a beach pier. After all, Dan is an architect and Amber (who is gorgeous) has friends who do roller derby. Their girls are each unique and beautifully suit their ages. One loves to cheer lead, one plays the cello, and the youngest is a book worm. I had the best time with them even though were were hanging out in the dirt. They rocked it and I love them for it! Konoske's you are 5 fabulous peeps. Thank you for laughing with me!!

I made them a little video to show off their images. The 1st picture is urban meets dirt :) Enjoy!

The Algorii Family

These cousins rocked the house.
It was like a mini family reunion. 4 families all photographed & all in just over an hour. They were amazing. Unbelievable. It was a pleasure for me to witness the love & fun this family has when they are together. I loved their smiles and every minute I spent with them.
I could play with these kiddos all day!
The boy cousin pictures was their idea :)
