Class of 2010: Ashley

Ashley rocks! She is special to my family because she loves my kids & is an amazing babysitter to them. She eats Mac & Cheese with them and even lets them brush her hair & put barrettes in it. She is also graduating and heading to college in the fall. So sad for us!
We had a blast together and being together brought out my inner high schooler, fo sho!

Congratulations Ashley! We are proud of you!

Class of 2010: Ashley & the Samantha's

These girls are soon-to-be high school graduates. Together they laughed, hit some fierce poses, stood in abandoned fields, jumped in the air like High School Musical, and got serious like Charlies Angels. It was so much fun and almost made me wish I was in high school again!

Tea Parties

Every year my girls look forward to the end of school,
not only b/c it's almost summertime, but because they get to have a tea party.
We invite all the girls from their class & their teacher and we celebrate a good year gone by. They dress up all fancy, wear big gaudy party hats, I break out the china, we eat Jello wigglers & throw water balloons at daddy.

Making invitations is one of my favorite things to do with my camera.
It is personal, precious & it always cements a special time in my children's lives.
This year Addie wanted to help design her card.
We took the photo glued it to some card stock and added a bow.
They are priceless.
This is the one she picked to be her final invitation!

Meet the tummy of my sweet friend Andrea &
her even sweeter little girl & big-sister-to-be, Charlotte.
Andrea is due with her 4th child any day now &
this is the first time she has had maternity pictures done.

Maternity: Monique & Robert

This family of 3 will soon become a family of 4!! Monique and Robert are mommy & daddy to 20 month old, Audrey. Coming soon is their precious baby boy! Monique is absolutely gorgeous and has piercing eyes. It was fun to see them through my camera lens-they popped!

The Konoske Family

Meet the Konoske Family. We met several weeks ago and had a blast. Joe & Melinda are a wonderful mommy & daddy to the marvelous Myles & Mason. We spent the entire afternoon together: playing, taking pictures, & running around the park. Myles became my BFF. Mason & I sang to Elmo tunes in the car. Melinda fed me graham crackers. Joe almost made a funny faces when I asked him too :) I loved getting to hang out with you Konoske Family-you are truly wonderful and I am so glad we can now call each other friends!

Jes & Andy

I have the most fabulous friend, Dena.

Come to find out she has a fabulous daughter in-law and son and they are going to have a baby. Jes & Andy are due to have their first baby in June
and this little man has the genes to be quite the little looker.
We had an awesome time together and Jes was game for all kinds of my fun ideas.

Meet Isaiah...Before & After

Two months ago I had my last photo shoot, a maternity shoot, before taking my own maternity break. It was for a friend who had the same due date as me, so together we were about 66 weeks pregnant. Only one problem-it rained, and rained, and rained. We did the best we could, but decided to call it a day and then get back together when our tummies looked a little bit different.

Meet my friend Kelli. Inside that beautiful tummy of hers is Isaiah. This was just one month before he made his way into the world.

I don't know why I like this picture so much...
babies use their whole bodies to cry and I love how their whole face gets involved. I just love the steady calm of a fathers hand. No matter how loud we get (as babies, toddlers or even as adults) and how upset we get, we have a Heavenly Father who holds us steady in the palm of His hand. Eventually we'll find our way back to calm because His peaceful, but tenacious grip will never let us go.

Thank you Kelli & Paul for letting me in on such early & precious moments with your family. What a blessed time of life.

Having Babies

Here are a few "self-timer" snap shots of me &
the babies before they make their way into the world.

We have spent 33 weeks together in these photos. God has been busy & I am so thankful!

I'll be on a break for a little bit loving on them, snuggling them, smelling their newborn smells, watching them grow too fast...

and all the while learning how to take a shower with 5 kids in the house.

...Gonna get married

I am bursting at the seams about to give birth to twins, so,
I have narrowed down my photo shoots to just one maternity & this engagement shoot
(b/c neither move nearly as fast as a 2 year old being chased by my camera).

Ellie & Caleb are my first official engagement shoot. I had a blast! It was fun to capture love! I am so thankful, Ellie & Caleb, that you let me capture the two of you being in love & just being together. Your June wedding will be just gorgeous because the two of you radiate happiness.

Only in your 20's can you get away with a pose like this and make it look good!

Thank you Caleb & Ellie for letting me spend the afternoon with you...
it was a great way to send me into maternity leave.
